  • Ingredients

    Meatballs

    • 2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
    • 1 cup Progresso™ Italian-style dry bread crumbs
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 2 eggs

    Spaghetti

    • 1 package (16 oz) spaghetti

    Spaghetti Sauce

    • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes, undrained
    • 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
    • 1 container (7 oz) refrigerated basil pesto
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crumbled

    Topping

    • Grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
  • Directions

    1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, mix all meatball ingredients. Shape into 24 meatballs, using slightly less than 1/4 cup beef mixture for each. On 15x10-inch pan with sides, place meatballs about 1/2 inch apart. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until no longer pink in center and thermometer inserted in center reads 160°F.
    2. Meanwhile, cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package. In 3-quart saucepan, heat all sauce ingredients over medium-low heat 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot.
    3. Place spaghetti in large bowl; top with meatballs. Pour sauce over all. Sprinkle with cheese.
