Nashville Hot Chicken Meatballs

You don’t have to be in Nashville to enjoy these spicy meatballs. Eat them on their own as a two-bite appetizer or inside a soft roll as a fun and flavorful slider.

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. In medium bowl, mix Meatball ingredients. Shape into 24 (1 1/2-inch) balls. Place in pan.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until thermometer inserted in center of meatball reads at least 165°F.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, mix Sauce ingredients. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted and brown sugar is dissolved. Add cooked meatballs; toss to coat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until meatballs are hot.

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2/3 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Frank's™ RedHot™ Original cayenne pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Frank's™ RedHot™ Original cayenne pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
